Golden Hour:

The golden hour is the time you first experience the pain and reach hospital and it’s important not to neglect such symptoms and rush to the nearest hospital with in 1 hour or 6o min.

Dr. Dikshit Says that a patient can be saved if he reaches the hospital on time.  Some more pointers that you must remember in such cases are:

  • Do not drive yourself to the hospital
  • Somebody to accompany you
  • Get an angiogram

Dr. Vijay Dikshit says the four to six hour window between the first attack and reaching hospital is crucial, post that, it becomes impossible for a medical practitioner to stop or reverse the damage the heart muscles have undergone.
