The human body is not a perfect machine so it is perfectly normal for you to feel some odd pain or ache from time to time. However, some aches and pains are more disturbing than others and may need to be checked out by a doctor to ensure all is right with your body. Here are some symptoms and signs you should not ignore but get checked out.

1. Chest Pain
It is almost never just chest pain. Any pain in your chest should be a cause for concern, especially when it is accompanied by nausea, sweating or shortness of breath etc. Chest pain can be an indicator of heart disease or a future heart attack, especially when it is felt when you are performing any form of physical activity. It may also point towards a blood clot getting into your lung. If you feel any type of chest pain, ensure you see a medical professional as soon as possible.

2. Blood in Urine
Seeing blood in your urine may point towards a kidney stone, especially if you feel some pain in your side or back also. kidney stone are tiny crystals which are formed from minerals and salt that pass through your kidney and gets into your urethra.Seeing blood in your urine can also be caused by a severe bladder or kidney infection. If you notice this, ensure you visit your doctor.

3. Weakness in arms and legs
If you suddenly feel weakness in the arms and legs, it may point towards a stroke. This is even truer if the pain is in only one side of your body; you constantly find yourself losing your balance, continually feel dizzy or have difficulty walking. If you find that you have a headache, have problems communicating due to slurring or can’t see well, or mouth droops to one side, call for help immediately to lower your risk of getting disabled as a result of a stroke.

4. Difficulty breathing
If you have difficulty breathing or can hear a wheezing sound as you breathe, you should go see a doctor as soon as possible. This difficulty breathing may be caused by allergies, asthma, a lung disease, or reaction to being exposed to a chemical. It can also be as a result of pneumonia or bronchitis so it is important to see a doctor as soon as you notice these symptoms.

5. Suicidal Thoughts
If you start to feel despair, hopelessness or being trapped, you should try to talk to a professional about it. Visit a hospital or clinic and you’ll be put in contact with an expert you can talk to about your mental health. This expert is trained to talk as well as listen to you and help you get past this tough time.

6. Tenderness and pain at the back of your lower legs
Feeling tenderness in the back of your legs can be caused by a blood clot in your leg or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). It may occur as a result of being in a seated position for too long. A blood clot may cause pain immediately you stand up or swelling. While this may be normal, you should go see a doctor if the area feels hot and looks red.
