Prazosin is a medication that is used for treating high blood pressure, heart failure, enlargement of the prostate gland in men, and Raynaud’s syndrome. There are some studies now being done on the potential of prazosin to slow down and possibly prevent a catastrophic complication in COVID-19: the cytokine storm.

A cytokine storm is an extreme immune response of your own body. When the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) enters the lungs in some cases, the immune system just keeps amplifying its response, sending more and more cytokines, and sometimes the cytokine storm itself may be fatal.
